Bad decisions make great stories

How many times have you been with friends recounting stories about something that happened to you in the past. Do you realize that the best stories are always the ones that at the time felt like you were in a nightmare? Isn’t it the comments that you receive of “Oh my god how did you get out of that?” or “And you’re laughing about that now?” Because no matter what happened in the past you always learn from it and look at it from the entire picture of beginning (Choice), middle (Pain), Afterwards (Learning).

I have made some horrendous decisions in my life which have led to some pretty scary, frightening, unbelievable and every other kind of description, but because of those I am, in my a opinion, a better person for it. This is why I find it sad hearing about people who are afraid of life, afraid of rejection or afraid of failure because it is those things that make you, as an individual, have a better understanding of yourself and where you fit into the world.

Which is why today I wanted to include two quotes, the one above and one from the Dalai Lama, “Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.” Follow your heart today and do whatever you want to do, It is your life and your world, go and sieze every experience. Have a creative day.

  1. Two fantastic quotes and both are so true! You always have such incredible photos…if I had to pick my favs would be the 1st one in the 1st and 2nd rows and the last one in the 5th row – I can almost ‘feel’ the silence.

  2. I have experienced too something that is pretty scary, frightening, unbelievable and every other kind of description. Though there is still pain, I am actually excited for me through the lives I have seen healed and revitalized and yes even transformed!

Will I become a better person for all of it? That cute kitty seems to know the answer!

  3. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets because of something done in the past… chances not taken. So really, we just need to love the people who treat us right, forget about the ones who don’t and believe that everything happens for a reason. If we get a chance, we should just take it. If it changes our life, then so be it. Nobody said that life would be easy or fair, we should live life so that it will be worth living.
If today was perfect there would be no need for tomorrow. 🙂

  4. Life is not always easy, but through our hardships, we can and should gain better insight as to who we are. I have changed much throughout my life. There are still many lessons ahead of me and I try my best to allow all of them to shape me and make me more open, kind, forgiving and truly empathetic to those around me. I hope that anyone who reads this will do the same. Never give up.
